I bought this saber not for screen accuracy, but because I absolutely loved the theatrical look of the hilt and, in particular, the spinning Kyber crystal. I was initially a little concerned about having a mechanical spinning mechanism inside the saber, but those concerns disappeared the moment I unpacked it and fired it up. It’s fantastic! The way the doors open up like the gull-wing doors of the BTTF DeLorean is such a great touch, and the whole mechanism operates smoothly and feels very well made. The illuminated spinning crystal is the real star of the show. The effect looks incredible and gives the saber a unique presence that really sets it apart. It’s definitely one of those sabers that you’ll want to show friends and family whenever they ask to see your collection! The hilt itself is beautifully made, feels solid in the hand, and has a real sense of quality. The chrome finish is particularly impressive and gives it a fantastic premium feel. The only criticism I have, which I was already aware of from watching a few YouTube reviews before purchasing, is that the spinning mechanism is slightly noisy. However, I’ve actually grown to like the sound, as I think it adds to the atmosphere and mechanical feel of the saber. It certainly doesn’t bother me, so I wouldn’t let that put you off buying one. It comes equipped with a V3 Xeno Core, so you get all the sounds, effects and colours you could wish for, along with Bluetooth connectivity to your phone through the Xeno App. There’s plenty to customise and explore, making it just as enjoyable to use as it is to look at. If you’re looking for a theatrical, eye-catching saber that feels more like a showpiece than a screen-accurate replica, I can highly recommend this one. It’s a fantastic addition to any collection.
