Ezra Bridger Lightsaber

Ezra Bridger built two lightsabers, and they could hardly be less alike: a scavenger’s hybrid with a working blaster in the hilt, then a conventional saber after the first was destroyed on Malachor. Our Model Ezra hilts are replica-style builds, duel-ready in Base Lit or Neopixel and installed by our UK technicians. Free UK, EU and US shipping.

The Padawan who built a blaster into his lightsaber

Ezra Bridger is one of the few Jedi whose weapon changes completely partway through his story, and the two sabers say very different things about him. The first is the work of a Lothal street kid with scavenged parts and no formal temple training. The second is the work of someone who has decided what he is. Most character pages flatten the two into one weapon; they are worth separating, because the first one is genuinely unlike anything else in the saga.

The first saber: a lightsaber with a blaster in the hilt

Ezra built his first lightsaber during his early training under Kanan Jarrus, and integrated a working stun blaster into the hilt. It was not decoration. The blaster fired a genuine stun bolt, and because it drew on the same power source as the blade, Ezra had to retract the blade before he could shoot. On screen the blade was blue, and the hilt was a blunt, improvised-looking thing assembled from salvage.

The design was pure practicality: a young Jedi hiding in plain sight under the Empire could carry one object instead of two. It is also the reason the weapon reads as unmistakably his. That saber was destroyed by Darth Vader on Malachor in Twilight of the Apprentice, the season two finale of Star Wars Rebels.

The second saber: a conventional build

After Malachor, Ezra built a replacement with no blaster and no improvisation — a traditional single-emitter hilt with a black grip and silver accents, showing a green blade on screen. It is the saber most people picture when they think of him as a Jedi rather than a Padawan, and it is the one that outlived his disappearance: it passed to Sabine Wren, who carries it still.

Blade colour and sound fonts — what you actually choose

Blue and green matter as lore, not as product specs. On every saber we build, blade colour and effects are set on the soundboard rather than fixed to the hilt, so a single hilt can run whatever colour you want and change it whenever you like. What ties a saber to a character is the preloaded sound font, not the colour it happens to be showing. If you want Ezra’s look, you configure it — you are not buying a colour.

Base Lit or Neopixel

Base Lit blades light from an LED in the hilt and pair with the RGBX soundboard. Neopixel blades are lit along their whole length for a true scrolling ignition and pair with Xenopixel or Proffie. Blade format first, soundboard second — the two are not interchangeable, and the Model Ezra hilts offer Base Lit RGBX, Xenopixel V3 and Proffie V2.2. Spare blades are sold separately.

What is on this page

This collection is a mix rather than a rack of hilts. Alongside the standalone Model Ezra sabers — the Combat Lightsaber in two generations and a Thin Neck version — it holds signed Signature Plaques, which are display pieces and not sabers, a signed Signature Edition duo pack, a saber-and-plaque set, and a raffle entry for a signed saber. Check the product title before you add to basket. If you want a straightforward hilt, start with the Combat Lightsaber; if you are after something to keep sealed, the signed items sit closer to our collector’s edition range.

Ezra Bridger lightsaber FAQ

Did Ezra Bridger’s lightsaber really have a blaster in it?

Yes. His first lightsaber had a stun blaster built into the hilt, sharing a power source with the blade — so he had to retract the blade before firing. It is one of the most unusual weapons in the saga, and it was destroyed by Darth Vader on Malachor.

Why did Ezra build a second lightsaber?

Because the first one no longer existed. After it was destroyed on Malachor at the end of Rebels season two, he built a conventional replacement with a black grip and silver accents — no blaster, no salvage.

What happened to Ezra’s second lightsaber?

It passed to Sabine Wren, who has since modified the hilt — including adding a guard at the base of the blade — and carries it as her own.

Which Model Ezra should I choose?

Pick the blade format first. Base Lit with the RGBX board is the lighter, more affordable route; Neopixel with Xenopixel V3 or Proffie V2.2 gives the scrolling ignition and richer effects. The Thin Neck version is a slimmer profile on the same principle.

Are these official Star Wars lightsabers?

No. They are replica-style sabers inspired by the character, built and installed by us. They are unofficial and not licensed merchandise.

Can I duel with them?

Yes. The Combat and Thin Neck hilts are built for contact duelling with the appropriate blade fitted. The signed plaques are display pieces only.
