Description
An original thin neck hilt, in white or black, built around a crystal chamber you can actually see.
The Thin Neck Lightsaber - Model Storm is one of our own designs rather than a screen replica: a long, narrow neck between the grip and the chamfered emitter, a gold-tone control plate on the grip, and a crystal chamber window in the pommel that glows in whatever colour the blade is set to. It comes in a clean white finish or an all-black one, and it is built as a full neopixel saber on either a Xenopixel V3 or a Proffie V2.2 board.
Only charge with a 5v 1amp max charger
What a thin neck is, and what it is for
The thin neck is the narrow section just below the emitter. It gives the hilt its elegant, elongated silhouette and makes it lighter and quicker in the hand than a full-width grip, which is why thin necks are the usual choice for spins, forms and flourishes. The same narrow section is also the hilt's structural weak point, so this is not a duelling saber. Hilt-to-hilt contact and heavy clashing are what break thin necks. If you want something to hit things with, the combat lightsabers range is built for that; this one is for everything else.

FAQ
Can I duel with it?
No. The neck is the narrow point of the hilt and heavy contact is how thin necks fail, so clashing and sparring are not covered. Spinning, forms, cosplay and display are what it is for. For duelling, look at the combat lightsabers.
Is it a character saber?
No. Model Storm is an original Padawan Outpost design, which is also why it is available in both white and black rather than one screen-matched finish.
What is the window in the pommel?
A crystal chamber. It lights in the same colour as the blade, so when you change the blade colour the chamber follows.
Can I swap blade lengths?
Yes. 36" is the default, with 32" and 28" available. How blades attach and detach is covered in our retractable lightsabers explainer.
