Base Lit Darksaber - Model Mando

Description

A blade of legend. A symbol of power.

One lightsaber in the galaxy is unlike every other. The Darksaber — the ancient black blade forged by the first Mandalorian Jedi — passed through a thousand years of duels before Moff Gideon carried it in The Mandalorian, and the Mandalorian himself won it from him in single combat. Whoever wields it holds a claim to Mandalore itself. Only the worthy may wield it.

The legend, in your hands

The Base Lit Darksaber – Model Mando reproduces the signature flat, dark-edged blade and angular hilt that make this weapon instantly recognisable — the same commanding silhouette as our Neopixel Darksaber, in the more affordable Base Lit format. Curious about the lore? Does the Darksaber have a kyber crystal?

FAQ

Can I duel with the Darksaber?
Within limits: light clashing and choreography are fine with a flat blade; full-out duelling is not. A flat profile concentrates impact along an edge instead of spreading it around a tube, so it handles light contact perfectly well but is not the tool for a heavy bout. For sparring, choose a round-blade duelling lightsaber.

How is this different from the Neopixel Darksaber?
They are separate products with different hilt designs: this one runs a Base Lit lighting format with the RGBx soundboard at a friendlier price, while the Neopixel version lights the blade along its full length with Xenopixel or Proffie boards.
