What makes a hilt duel-worthy

Three things, all structural. The hilt is machined from aluminium rather than cast in resin, so the emitter — which carries the load when blades bind — will not crack under impact. The blade is polycarbonate with a 2 mm wall, which flexes and scuffs instead of shattering. And the electronics are shock-mounted, with the battery removable rather than soldered into the path of every hit.

Combat saber or display piece

This page is deliberately narrow: it is drawn from the combat-model range and filters replicas out, so what you are looking at is duelling hardware, not shelf presence — the opposite end of the catalogue from collectors edition lightsabers. Duelling lightsabers is the broader page.

Blades: diameter, length and wear

Two diameters run through the range — 1 inch as standard, 7/8 inch on thin-neck hilts — and they are not interchangeable, so match the diameter on your product page. Lengths are 28, 32 and 36 inches, 36 by default; on Neopixel the LED count follows the length, at 96, 114 and 144. Blades are the consumable part, and replacements are in saber blades.

Formats, boards and modularity

Base Lit blades are lit from the hilt and pair with the RGBX board — cheapest to buy and to reblade, and perfectly happy taking contact. Neopixel blades carry LEDs along their whole length for true ignition and flash-on-clash, and pair with Xenopixel or Proffie. Many hilts are modular: grips, emitters and pommels swap with components from lightsaber parts, and a coupler joins two into a staff. Every saber is fitted and tested in the UK, and dispatched within 2–5 working days.
