A Jedi who survived the fall of the Order and did not stay one. By the New Republic era Baylan Skoll works as a mercenary, training his own apprentice, Shin Hati, and hiring out to Morgan Elsbeth in the hunt for Grand Admiral Thrawn. He is not a Sith. He keeps the bearing of a Jedi Master and something close to regret for the Order he left, even as he cuts down anyone standing between him and what he is after.
Skoll's confrontation with Ahsoka Tano is the fight the character is remembered for — patient and heavy, fought with weight rather than speed, and it ends with Ahsoka thrown from the cliffs. He carries an open contempt for Anakin Skywalker and the part he played in the collapse of the Jedi. Where his own story goes is left deliberately unfinished on screen.
Doug Chiang's team drew the saber first. Ray Stevenson — who played Skoll, and who died in May 2023, shortly before the series aired — asked to change the pommel, putting something of the actor into the weapon. The result is broad, blunt and deliberately unrefined next to a Jedi hilt. On screen the blade burns orange, which in Star Wars lore sits between Jedi blue and Sith red rather than belonging to either. On our sabers that character tie comes from the preloaded Baylan-inspired sound font: blade colour and effects stay configurable on the soundboard, so the same hilt can run his profile or anyone else's.
Base Lit pairs with the RGBX soundboard and is the best-value way into duelling. Neopixel pairs with Xenopixel or Proffie, and gives film-bright ignition and flash-on-clash. The Baylan hilt is offered across all three. Keep spare blades to hand if contact sparring is the plan.
