Savage Opress was a Dathomirian Nightbrother and the brother of Darth Maul. Mother Talzin’s magick transformed him into a hulking dark-side warrior, Count Dooku trained him and put a double-ended lightsaber in his hands, and he later served as Maul’s right hand in the Shadow Collective. He appears throughout The Clone Wars.
The two get confused constantly. Opress’s saberstaff closely resembles Maul’s original hilt, but it also borrows from Dooku’s design — most visibly the emitter guards at both ends, which Maul’s hilt does not have.
