Neopixel Lightsaber

A neopixel lightsaber puts the LEDs inside the blade itself — a strip of pixels running its full length. The result is film-bright colour, scrolling ignition and retraction, flash-on-clash, blaster block and blade effects that in-hilt LEDs can't match. Every neopixel saber here is installed and tested by our in-house techs in the UK. Not sure where to start? Our 2026 neopixel picks by use case narrow it down.

Neopixel lightsabers at Padawan Outpost

One blade technology, two soundboards

Neopixel is the blade; the soundboard is the brain that drives it. Choose Xenopixel for smooth swing, sound fonts and effects that work straight out of the box, or Proffie if you want an open-source board you can programme yourself. Still weighing up whether pixel blades are worth it? Our guide to RGB vs Neopixel covers the trade-offs.

Yes, you can duel with them

A neopixel strip inside a polycarbonate blade stands up to real sparring. If contact fighting is the plan, cross-check our duelling lightsabers, and keep a spare blade to hand from parts.

Hilt shapes worth knowing

A neopixel build isn't limited to one hilt shape. Browse double-bladed lightsabers for a blade at each end, crossguard hilts for the three-blade silhouette, or the character collection for hilts inspired by a specific Jedi or Sith. Each product page states which blade format and soundboard that hilt supports.

Neopixel FAQs

Why are neopixel lightsabers more expensive than baselit? You're paying for the pixel strip, the wiring and the install work. If budget leads, a Base Lit saber gets you duelling for less.

Are neopixel blades fragile? No — the strip sits inside a polycarbonate blade, the same material our duelling sabers use. Each product page lists blade sizes and options.

What comes in the box? Your saber ships with its blade, a charging cable, screws and a hex key. The default neopixel blade is 36", with shorter options on most hilts — each product page lists exactly what's included.

How do I look after the blade? Wipe the hilt and blade down with a soft cloth to lift dust and fingerprints, and keep abrasive cleaners and cloths away from the polycarbonate.

What if it arrives faulty? Don't take it apart — contact us first. Every neopixel saber carries a 12-month warranty, and repairs are handled in-house by our UK technicians. Email repairs@padawanoutpost.com with the model and the exact fault and we'll take it from there.
