Who carried a purple blade

Purple is the rarest blade on screen, and it belongs to one man: Mace Windu, Jedi Master and member of the High Council through the last years of the Republic — played by Samuel L. Jackson, whose request for a blade that stood out in a crowd of Jedi is the reason the colour exists at all. In the lore the colour comes from the kyber crystal at the heart of the hilt, and Windu's answered to Vaapad: the form that let him draw on his own anger and hold it under control. That is why purple reads as the colour between things — Jedi discipline with the dark side close enough to touch.

He is not quite alone. Depa Billaba, the Jedi Master who trained Kanan Jarrus, carried a purple blade through the Clone Wars. Beyond those two the colour barely appears at all, which is most of why people want it.
