Can I duel with the Maul V2?
It's fully functional and ready for activation, but it is not recommended for heavy dueling — the twin-hilt coupling is built for display, cosplay and light spinning. For contact sparring, choose a round-blade duelling lightsaber and read Mastering the Art of Lightsaber Dueling first.
Does it split into two sabers?
Yes — the coupling adapter separates, leaving two individual working sabers.
V1 or V2 — which Maul staff is this?
The V2 is the Clone Wars-era twin-hilt design with connector; the Model Darth Maul V1 is the Phantom Menace-era full staff.

Overall the sword i ordered is awesome. Just the pushable buttons feel a bit feeble and for that price they could add a charger, not only the cable.

I ordered this saberstaff at MEFCC in Abu Dhabi in the Xenopixel version after watching Maul Shadow Lord, and in a moment of unrestrained love for Maul I just couldn't walk past it. I really wanted to know how hard it actually is to spin a staff like this and just generally play around with it. And honestly, this thing is amazing. I have no idea how screen-accurate it is compared to what we see in the movies or animation, but I can say that holding something this beautiful gives me, a 30-year-old grown woman, pure childlike joy. Each saber on its own has a nice weight to it, feels really solid and is just an absolute beauty. You press the buttons, it hums, it glows, everything does exactly what you want it to do. I adore it. The description says it's not meant for heavy duelling, and I was a bit worried about that at first, but my husband and I have been fighting with it against other 7/8 blades and it's been absolutely fine so far. And I was probably way too confident when I ordered it and went for the longest blades.. Turns out that at 170 cm tall, 32" or even 28" blades make much more sense for me. When the full staff is assembled with the long blades, it has A LOT of rotational inertia and is pretty hard to control if you have absolutely no idea what you're doing (which I don't :D). I bought shorter blades later and now it feels perfect. Also, Xenopixel itself turned out to be a little more complicated than I expected. There's actually quite a lot to figure out with all the settings, fonts and effects, but that's part of the fun. Anyway, I want to say a huge thank you to Jasmine for introducing me to this wonderful world. I love that this completely random purchase somehow turned into a new hobby, and I honestly didn't expect it to bring me this much joy.

This is the 4th lightsaber I've gotten though padawan outpost and it is absolutely fantastic so brilliant in fact me and my mate went to the local woods and had a lightsaber battle which i highly suggest everyone does

I bought this saber as a birthday present for someone, they are a massive Star Wars fan and absolutely loved the lightsaber. The quality of the saber and numerous features/lights/sounds it comes with is 100% worth the price! It is quite accurate to the Clone Wars version and the details are impeccable!
