Start with the blade: Base Lit or Neopixel

Every lightsaber we sell uses one of two blade formats. Base Lit sabers light the blade from an LED in the hilt — bright, tough and the best-value way into duelling. Neopixel sabers run an LED strip the full length of the blade for film-bright colour, scrolling ignition and effects like flash-on-clash.

Then choose the soundboard

The soundboard is the saber's brain — and it's a separate choice from the blade. Xenopixel gives you smooth swing, sound fonts and blade effects straight out of the box, while Proffie is open-source and fully programmable for tinkerers. Our product pages show exactly which combinations each hilt supports.

Duel it, display it, or both

Duellists should head for our duelling lightsabers — aluminium hilts and polycarbonate blades built for contact — or a retractable lightsaber with a removable blade for easy transport. Collectors can go up the range to our Collectors Edition sabers, or build something personal with a custom lightsaber and modular parts.

Can you actually duel with these lightsabers? Yes — our combat sabers use aluminium hilts and polycarbonate blades made for sparring. Check each product page for blade options and duelling suitability.

What's the difference between Neopixel and Xenopixel? Neopixel is the blade technology (LEDs inside the blade); Xenopixel is a soundboard that drives it. They work together, not against each other.

Do you ship from the UK? Yes — Padawan Outpost is UK-based, with free UK shipping and a 12-month warranty on every saber.

What comes in the box? Your saber ships with its blade, a charging cable, screws and a hex key. The default blade is 36", with 32" and 28" options on most hilts — each product page lists exactly what's included.

What if my saber develops a fault? Don't open it up — talk to us first. Every saber carries a 12-month warranty, and repairs are handled in-house by our UK technicians. Email repairs@padawanoutpost.com with the model and what it's doing, and we'll take it from there.
